So… About That Podcast

I have a confession to make.

Despite having an entire website built around it…

Despite branding it, naming it, taglining it, mood-boarding it, soul-searching it, and emotionally committing to it—

I still haven’t started my podcast.

It’s called Built In.

It’s about people who chase their purpose, overcome stuff, and build from the inside out.

Which is hilarious, because right now? I’m just building… reasons not to record.

Listen, it’s not that I don’t want to start.

It’s just that I suddenly need to deep clean my garage, rearrange my spice rack by emotional resonance, and re-learn how microphones work. You know, normal podcast prep.

Also, there’s the tiny little fact that I have social anxiety.

Which means I can talk to strangers at the grocery store for 30 minutes straight but completely panic at the idea of hitting “record” in an empty room.

Make it make sense.

I tell myself things like:

“You don’t have a professional mic setup yet.”

“You need to sound smarter.”

“You should lose 10 pounds before anyone sees you or hears your voice.”

“Maybe everyone’s already tired of podcasts.”

“Who even do you think you are?”

You know- your classic motivational inner monologue. Ha!

But here’s what I’m realizing:

This resistance? It’s proof the thing matters.

If I didn’t care, I wouldn’t be so anxious about it.

If it weren’t personal, I wouldn’t be procrastinating so professionally.

So maybe this post isn’t an announcement that the podcast is launching tomorrow.

Maybe it’s just a reminder- to me and to you- that it’s okay to be a work in progress.

It’s okay to care deeply.

It’s okay to take a breath before you leap.

And one day soon, I’ll press record.

Probably while sweating profusely, pacing in circles, and whispering “you’ve got this” 27 times.

Until then… thanks for being here anyway.
